Position: Siding Installer Monday to Thursday, 7am to 5:30pm Freeport Industries is a modular construction company with our manufacturing facility located in Westbank. Freeport assists customers in the design, manufacture and installation of modular buildings, tailored to their unique needs. We are a WorkSafeBC COR/OSSE certified company and a growing residential developer and custom builder of residential, commercial and industrial buildings. We are currently looking to add detail-oriented Siding Installers to our growing production team, working day shift, Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 5:30 pm at our Westbank manufacturing facility. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for construction, to attend work in one location every day. The Job: * Work collaboratively between departments to ensure efficiency in the build process. * Cut, bend and install flashing or trim. * Install a variety of siding products per the manufacturer’s specifications. * Safely use various power tools including, but not limited to, drills and saws. * Safely use general pneumatic tools including, but not limited to, nail guns and staple guns. * Occasional use of a scissor lift or scaffolding may be required. * Read and interpret blueprints. * Identify and communicate production problems as they arise and take action to correct. * Follow the company safety program as per current procedures and pro-actively work to develop and maintain a culture of safety onsite. The Ideal Candidate: * Prior experience with hardi, vinyl, wood or aluminum siding is preferred. * Basic knowledge of construction documents, drawings and specifications and current construction practices and methodology, is preferred. * Strong interpersonal skills. * Dependable. * Proven problem-solving ability. * Ability to work in a team and to work independently.Compensation: The typical hiring range for this position is $18–$23 per hour. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
