Opportunities for Home Share Provide in the North Okanagan and Shuswap: Are you interested in the rewarding opportunity to share your home with an adult with developmental disabilities? Home Sharing is a model of residential support where a person or family is contracted to provide a shared, supported home environment to an individual served by SACL. No formal education required for our Home Share Providers but is valuable for many placements; a background in caregiving is needed, along with clear criminal record checks and First Aid. A thorough home study is completed and once approved, your home can be considered for any new referrals that come our way. It is always our desire to support people to make the best match possible, to ensure a long-term placement and quality support. We are currently seeking a suitable home for a skilled support worker who lives in the country and does not work outside the home. In addition, we are always recruiting for interested people to screen and have readily available for when referrals come in. Ideally, placements are long-term so finding the right match is important.
